MadPipe CEO Daniel DiGriz has been accepted as a patron member of the venerable Salmagundi Club in New York City. The club is for both professional artists and patrons of the arts, and its reach and membership span the globe. Salmagundi is unusual in that it is both part of the tradition of private clubs in New York, like the Lotos Club, Players Club, and Coffee House Club, with whom it shares reciprocal privileges, and is outwardly engaged with the public for the promotion of the arts.
Daniel’s particular area of interest is promoting entrepreneurship among working artists, and helping them discover and convey their brand narrative. His interest in Salmagundi resulted from 1) The Clark Hulings Fund for Visual Artists becoming a client, and MadPipe designing, delivering, and directing both its Marketing and Education programs. 2) His own interest in collecting original figurative art. 3) Meeting club president Tim Newton by hosting a podcast on which Tim became a guest. “Tim opened my eyes to how long I’ve been interested in original art, and seeking to have the SCNY after my name (Salmagundi Club, New York) seemed quite a natural step.”
